Core Performance Reporting
To meet the reporting requirements for adult education programs in the Workforce Investment Act, schools must collect data on students after they leave the adult education program. Data is collected on four measures: entered employment, retained employment, receipt of a secondary diploma or GED, and entry into postsecondary education or training. These measures are collected only from students who designate these outcomes as their goals upon entry into the program. TOPSpro will identify these students for you.

To facilitate this process, the Division has posted the appropriate survey forms and cover letter (below). Division schools should download the forms and cover letter, and print them directly onto school letterhead for mailing. Schools must then mail the surveys to identified students and use the CASAS NRS Core Performance Measure web page to submit the list of students surveyed as well as to report results of each returned survey.

Schools should mail surveys so that responses can be received and reported before the deadlines indicated on the Data Submission calendar (above).
